50 Years Is Enough

The coalition was founded in 1994 and includes over 200 U.S. grassroots, women’s, solidarity, faith-based, policy, social- and economic-justice, youth, labour and development organizations dedicated to the transformation of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The organisation aims to develop knowledge about the issues at stake, to mobilise civic groups and to promote alternative policies. Since 1998 it publishes ‘Economic Justice News’ three times a year, which analyses the impact of policies by the World Bank and the IMF.

Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP)

IATP was created in 1986. It works with organizations around the world to analyze how global trade agreements impact domestic farm and food policies. Alongside a global coalition, IATP advocates for fair trade policies that promote strong health standards, labor and human rights, the environment and, most fundamentally, democratic institutions.

International Gender and Trade Network (IGTN)

IGTN is a network of feminist gender specialists who provide technical information on gender and trade issues to women’s groups, NGOs, social movements and governments. IGTN acts as a political catalyst to enlarge the space for a critical feminist perspective and global action on trade and globalization issues. It is a Southern-led network that builds South/North cooperation in the work of developing more just and democratic policy from a critical feminist perspective. IGTN is organized in eight regions: Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Central Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America and the Pacific.

Latin American Information Agency (ALAI)

ALAI is a communications organization, working since 1977. It is committed to the full respect of human rights, gender equality and people’s participation in development and policy making in Latin America and views the struggle for the democratisation of communication as a basic prerequisite for democratic society and social justice. Trade Justice Movement

The Trade Justice Movement is a group of organisations including trade unions, aid agencies, environment and human rights campaigns, fairtrade organisations, faith and consumer groups. The movement is supported by more than 70 member organisations that have over 9 million members. Together, they are campaigning for trade justice - not free trade - with the rules weighted to benefit poor people and the environment.

World Economy, Ecology and Development (WEED) (...)

WEED was founded in 1990 and campaigns for a change in direction in international economic and development policies that would put more emphasis on social justice and environmental sustainability. WEED tries to reach its goals through public relations work in Germany, education, research, the creation of international contact and information networks, and the support of likeminded organizations.
