Le projet rinoceros n’a pas disparu, il continue de vivre pour valoriser les points de vue des acteurs associatifs dans le monde dans le site Ritimo.

Front Line commissioned the SERAC (Social and Economic Rights Action Center) to produce an on-line manual specifically focused on Economic, Social and Cultural rights, which is available through its website. The manual looks at the emergence of ESC rights, examines the challenges facing the defence of these rights whilst examining in detail the current legal status relevant to these rights and looks at the relationship between ESC rights and poverty. read

Le Centre sur les droits au logement et les évictions (COHRE) est l’une des principales ONG actives au plan international pour faire connaître et avancer les droits économiques, sociaux et culturels (DESC). Depuis quinze ans, ces droits, longtemps restés marginaux par rapport aux droits civils et politiques, ont fait l’objet d’une attention nouvelle de la part des Etats, des organisations internationales mais aussi des organisations de la société civile. Une des facettes de ce phénomène a été la multiplication des actions en justice intentées pour faire respecter ces droits.
Dans cette publication, COHRE propose une vue d’ensemble de cette nouvelle tendance à recourir aux instances judiciaires pour faire protéger et réaliser les DESC. Il a pour cela interviewé près de 50 personnes (avocats, responsables d’ONG, juges, etc.) de 17 pays différents afin de tirer les leçons de leurs expériences.
